The Modern Mary Pullover is truly the perfect layering piece for summer and takes any outfit from bland to beautiful! I have included row by row instructions on how to make short and 3/4 sleeves (whoop whoop!) but, honestly, since this garment is worked from the top down, you can easily customize the body and sleeve lengths! Click here to see all of the different ways other makers have customized theirs!

BEHIND THE NAME
This top is named after Mary Queen of Scots. I was obsessed with the ridiculous drama-filled show called Reign and in season 1 episode 9, the actress who played Mary wore a stunning silver top that I adored! It was a little too "royal" for my taste though, so I added a dose of boho and a splash of comfy to it and voila! The Modern Mary Pullover was born.
Guys, I can't say enough good things about this group of makers. Their patience and dedication is what motivated me to not give up! (Long story short, there were 7 versions of this pattern during testing *gasp*) This pattern has come SUCH a long way and it wouldn't be what it is today if it weren't for these beautiful, talented ladies! I'm so grateful for the amount of time and yards of yarn they have dedicated to this design. 🖤 I HIGHLY recommend you click each photo to see more of their incredible work!
