ABOUT

The I Smell Snow Beanie an eye-catching accessory that, you guessed it, features an intricate snowflake design that would make Lorelai Gilmore herself giddy!

This unique, crochet beanie is worked in joined rounds from the top-down, is made with DK weight yarn, and includes instructions for 5 sizes (from baby to large adult). Plus, the snowflake design is created using front post stitches, so it can be made with 1 or 2 colors!

DIFFICUTLY

This beanie is rated advanced and may look really intimidating, but I truly think anyone can make it since the pattern includes example photos of each increase round and linked video tutorials for the "trickier" stitches!

HOOK

3.5 mm crochet hook (or hook needed to obtain gauge)

NOTIONS

BEHIND THE SCENES

This snowflake beanie has evolved so much since the first time I doodled it last year.

It started out as a very basic snowflake pattern that ended up looking great from the top but like stick people holding hands from the side.

After a few more sketches and about 3 more attempts, I finally perfected the snowflake design!

TESTERS

Below are the amazing humans who I personally asked to test this pattern! They each gave up time, used up yarn, and shared their knowledge to help make this pattern what it is and for that, I'm truly grateful. Scroll down and tap each photo to meet each amazing maker!
