This chunky, unisex beanie is the perfect accessory for the entire family and is ideal for those frigid winter days. It’s made with cozy, bulky weight yarn, has a double thick brim, and features unique texture created from traditional and modified back loop single crochets. Plus, it’s worked from the top down and in joined rounds, so you can try it on as you go!
Sizes available (recommended head circumference): Baby (14-16"), Child (18-20"), Adult (21-23"), Large Adult (22-24")
WHAT YOU'LL NEED
I collaborated with the incredibly talented Siobhan, from Yarn Over Floyd, for this design and she's offering kits for a limited time! I highly recommend using her yarn. Her bulky weight, merino wool is a dream to work with, plus, she creates the most beautiful, tonal skeins using natural ingredients! How cool is that?! I made mine with the color Medium Walnut but she offers other colors, as well! Click here to check them out!
Fitted: approx. 1 (2, 2, 2) skeins
Slouchy: approx. 2 (2, 2, 3) skeins
or any other bulky weight yarn that meets gauge. (Great substitutions include: I Love This Chunky and Charisma by Loops & Threads.)
Fitted: approx. 110 (135, 180, 210) yds
Slouchy: approx. 130 (170, 210, 290) yds
This pattern wouldn't be what it is today without these wonderful, speedy testers! These talented ladies helped me make this design the best that it could be and, for that, I am truly grateful 🖤 Click on each photo below to check out each talented maker on Instagram!
